White Arctic Wolves - Boreas and Silvermoon - at the Lobo Wolf Park in Kane [Postcard]

Description

This photograph depicts Dr. McCleery holding food in his hand, while two wolves leap towards it, at Dr. McCleery's lobo wolf park, located within the town limits of Kane, PA. This photograph is included in Dr. McCleery's book "The Lone Killer" and is captioned "White Arctic Wolves." The two wolves are identified as Boreas and Silvermoon in the Friends' Memorial Public Library's (Kane, PA) copy of "The Lone Killer," which was hand-signed by Dr. McCleery and includes his handwritten identification of some of the wolves in the photographs. This is a divided Defender postcard.

This postcard was published between 1921 (when Dr. McCleery obtained his first wolf) and 1929 (when Dr. McCleery moved the wolf park to the Route 6 location).
