Description
This back-lit sign displays four photographs depicting the Kinzua Dam, Lobo Wolves, Rimrock Overlook, and Kinzua Bridge. The lobo wolves photograph depicts two wolves in a pen at the lobo wolf park, located along Route 6 five miles east of Kane, PA.
This sign is one of a kind and was created for and hung at the Seneca Highlands Tourist Association, which used to be housed in an old building in uptown Kane, PA. The sign is made of plywood and the back light is a four-foot shop light.
In the photos, the Kinzua Dam appears to be nearing completion but is still under construction. Construction of the Kinzua Dam began in 1960 and was completed in 1965, so if these four photographs were taken around the same time, then they were probably taken around 1964.
