Biographical Text
Boreas was a son of the famous outlaw wolves Old Snowdrift and Lady Snowdrift. He and his littermates - Diana, Montana, and Lobo - were the survivors of the Snowdrifts' first litter discovered by wolfers; the rest of the litter crawled into the crevices of the den and died. Boreas's other sibling, Silvermoon, was obtained from the second Snowdrift litter discovered by wolfers.1(p.2)
Boreas and his siblings were mostly tamed by the Wolfer Griffith before they were sent to Dr. McCleery.1(p.6)
Boreas was mated to his sister Diana (presumably after Jerry's death), and one of their male pups was given to Dr. McCleery's sternographer, presumably Myrtle Jarensky.1(p.29)
He later was mated to one of Diana's daughters (unsure of the father).1(p.13)
Probably around 1927-1929 he was mated to "the pup killer." Previous to this, when he sensed that the wolf dens were about to be raided, he would let out a loud howl to alert the pack. But the year he was mated with the pup killer, who had killed some of their pups, he did not howl and simply watched with interest as the remaining pups were taken away.1(p.14)
Boreas was also mated to his sister Silvermoon. At one point, Silvermoon learned how to open an unlocked gate and taught Boreas how to do so, to the amusement of the park visitors.1(p.14)
Boreas was also mated with Heidebloome. At this time, Boreas had been the accepted leader of the pack for several years, so I assume this was after Jerry had been killed.1(p.14)
