Biographical Text

Geronimo was a very savage wolf, but never showed any unfriendliness toward Dr. McCleery, even during the breeding season.1(p.19) Dr. McCleery earned Geronimo's trust and friendship by saving him from attacks twice.1(p.18)

Geronimo was mated to Apache, but their line was later eliminated.1(p.20)

After the death of Achilles, Geronimo was mated with Montana, because she was a tough female who could handle him.1(p.16) After Montana's death, he seemed to want Diana (Montana's sister) as his new mate, but Dr. McCleery decided that Diana had too sweet a personality to waste on such an overbearing male.1(p.17)

Geronimo and Jerry's son were enemies.1(p.19) They got into a fight once, resulting in Geronimo getting injured.1(p.19) Geronimo was so vicious between three and four years of age that Dr. McCleery was nearing his limit with him, but Geronimo became less unpleasant when Jerry's son was killed.1(p.28) Geronimo also had a rivalry with Pyrrhus.1(p.19)

Geronimo broke one of Dr. McCleery's teeth in play.1(p.28)

When Geronimo was three and a half years old, there was a celebration in Kane over the completion of the paving of a state highway. Geronimo was randomly selected to go for a drive in Dr. McCleery's car for the parade, chained to the steering post. He seemed to enjoy it, so Dr. McCleery continued to bring Geronimo with him in the car on medical calls.1(p.18)
